Class under glass - consider a sparkling conservatory or glass room
Those of us with a conservatory or glass room will have been basking in its benefits all winter.
If positioned to face north, they collect the winter sun, thereby creating a brilliant haven which has no need of extra heating. You'll find you live in it in winter!
If the glass room faces west it can become very uncomfortable in summer and furniture can be exposed to direct sunlight, causing fading.
However if it faces north with a deciduous tree shading it in summer, it is ideal.
At other times of the year it can offer a transition point between inside and outside, and if filled with plants it will have that English conservatory look.
Glass rooms can be used for a range of functions including dining areas, rumpus rooms, studies or lounge areas.
And they're perfect for home owners who want to take advantage of any views. There is a range of styles from Federation to modern available.
